New Music!!!!
So, I recently came across a band that I can't believe took me this long to find. If you ever get a chance listen to their song "Classic" It's a gem of a song. The music and lyrics are so catchy. I apologize profusely for the people in the hallway at school who saw mini dancing the song in my head, it's just that good. Here's the link to the song if you're interested in checking them out, I promise you won't regret looking them up, unless you're you know a hard rock heavy metal person with no interest in love songs, but hey why not take it from them instead of a boy band worth billions of dollars.

Music review in which things get EPIC!
Music is something that I find myself getting lost in, not
just remotely lost either, I’m talking lost with no way out but up.
I find myself very often going between genres, and this one
compared the last band (the band perry) is no exception the getting lost in
music theory.
Celtic Thunder is currently a six member vocal group from
Ireland, although many of the members that were in the original group have
found another calling, this powerful vocal group is capable of producing
melodic lines that seem to flow together. Celtic Thunder member Keith Harkin
explains that he auditioned to be part of a group of solo artists travelling
around, when the opportunity arose for the touring artists to combine on a
song, their voices blended to create the talent we hear in VOICES.
The sheer power behind their voices is shocking.
I had the opportunity to see them live this past September,
they are without a doubt some of the most talented people I have ever heard in
my life.
Check them out.

Albums, one of many
Alright so it seems to me that it would now be a good time to write something that I find myself doing quite often, something that I actually do for fun quite a lot, and that is listen to music, that's not all I do, normally you can find me sitting in a quiet space with my noise cancelling headphones on listening to the same part over and over again because I love the bass line within the song or something like that, well now, I give you my reviews.
The first thing you should know is that I am a music nut, I love music, but if you were to look on my iPod you would find anything from country to broadway.
The Band Perry, a sibling band composed of 3 members, Neil, Kimberly, and Reid began in 2005 and didn't make a splash in the music scene until their self titled debut album was released in October of 2010. I can pretty well guarantee that you've heard one of their songs, if not here's a link.
If I die young became an instant hit, and it's not difficult to see why.
This review is actually for their newest album called Pioneer, it's about the South as they're from Arkansas. This music is a good mix of the country rock sound they try so hard to achieve and country, I absolutely love this band and this album is one that makes me look on iTunes and ask myself how it could be possible for anyone to listen to a song that many times.
I saw a light is an example of a song that I have listened to 50+ times (don't judge.)
Here's a link to that as well!
Happy listening!!!

Helen Keller in the 21st century
I would imagine that writing in any form in the present time is drastically different from Helen Keller's time for many reasons. Perhaps the most predominant physically would be the fact that we print, and not many of us use cursive at all. We no longer use type writers and we are able to post in real time and with the rapid improvement of accessible technology, formatting in general is becoming easier for everyone to access and for documents themselves, the ability to be accessible in all contexts.
We have gotten lazy. Gone are the days of cursive and use of eloquent wording. It all seems so foreign to us, Helen would most certainly thing we are getting lazy using contractions and slang.
Formatting is so simple now. Templates on word seem to be making everything so mindless and easy. It kind of makes one think, with all our attempts to make things easier on ourselves, what are we actually doing? In The Story of my life, Helen writes in a simple manner quite effortlessly, but the language and sentence structure has changed a lot. Compare twentieth century writing to twenty first, and nineteenth to twentieth, and there is a whole different language. Not only has this changed the way we write, but also how it is read and accessed.
For Helen, books came in the form of braille, large volumes of books, an example would be the many volumes of the first Harry Potter book before the invention of portable refreshable braille displays and portable notetakers which work as computers. Helen would be fascinated by this.
The world has changed so much and alarmingly fast. I wonder how people will read her book in the future. Book, internet, e-reader, those are our options, fifty years from now, who knows?

Really anonymous?
It’s easy to hide behind a computer screen, people do it all
the time.
Anonymity is something that in the digital world, we face on
a daily basis, not only the anonymity of the person but also where they are and
what they’re doing at that exact moment, we will all remain anonymous until
such a time when it is no longer required to do so.
Email surveys are taking the place of paper surveys as
people no longer feel the need to fill them out on paper and hand them in,
which significantly decreases the level of anonymity greatly people would be able to tell who it was who
gave in a certain survey and skew the answers or opinions based on a persons
like or disinterest for the person.
People who answer things online do so because they choose to
remain anonymous.
Anonymity is something we cherish in our society, due to
social media we are always in the public eye no matter how anonymous we try to
be.
When websites claim to be anonymous, are they really? No.
Decryption is easy assuming the person running it knows the passwords and
understands the method of encryption used. This being said, would it not be
easy enough for someone to just decrypt the entire thing and suddenly force the
opinion of these people out into cyberspace for the world to see forever?
Absolutely, in fact it’s almost too easy, with everything
online these days it’s very easy for someone to trace an IP address and
suddenly everything and anything is accessible.
Are we so caught up in the ease of posting something
seemingly anonymously on the Internet that we do not seem to care what we say?
There is a brave front that we put on when we think it is safe to post
something you wouldn’t say to someone directly or say something that nobody
would expect to hear. That sense of anonymity is what keeps the society going
but could also hurt in a variety of ways.
Stating opinions that could shape politics that could shape
the way someone sees the world is something we should not be taking as lightly
as we are but we do not seem to be able to shake the idea of.
We seem to be addicted to hiding behind our computer
screens, this is not a good thing. This phenomenon of anonymity is not the only
thing we see this in, we also see it in our lack of ability talk on the
telephone and hold a conversation. With the advent of technology it is becoming
easier and easier to not talk to people, digital commerce is becoming the way
of the future and there is no real way of stopping it now.
In conclusion I feel that anonymity is not what we think it
is, in fact it is a false non existent front which we hide behind in hopes that
no one will track us down for speaking our minds.

Autocorrect
Okay, here it goes, I hate autocorrect. I know that
might not come as a shock to a lot of people that someone on this earth hates
autocorrect, but lets step back a second and think about this, autocorrect can
ruin everything.
Don't get me wrong, I seem to be (although very
rarely) one of those people who would be lost without autocorrect, whose only
chance to keep up with the rest of the world in conversation without the
spelling and grammar freaks chasing after them. But let's get one thing clear,
while it does save time, I almost feel as though it makes us lazy, just plain lazy.
How many times have you typed something into your phone to see if you spelled a
word correctly? Moreover, how many times have you read a questionable
text?
Time to approach this in a relatively organized
manner;
Ask yourself this, how many words can you type a
sentence on a cell phone, how about two? Are you actually typing every word or
is autocorrect correcting your spelling? How many times have you found that
while you're trying to type one word, a completely unrelated word rears its
ugly head, it happens, and how many times have you found yourself trying to
correct autocorrect?
I guess what I'm trying to say here is that no matter how hard you try
it’s almost impossible to make autocorrect see eye to eye with you.
My second point here is this, it makes people lazy now granted although
I am a nerd when it comes to spelling and words and things like that, what gets
me is that I would be lost without autocorrect jumping in, and yes, if my
laptop isn’t close by then I use my phone to check spelling of words we have in
common with the U.S, still does that not make us just the laziest people? We
don’t try to be but, it’s there haunting us, the fact that we’re too lazy to
look in a dictionary.
Granted some funny things can come of it, for instance, just the other
day said “See you Klingon..” Now I wasn’t sure if she was calling me a Klingon
or if she meant “See you tomorrow” It turns out it was the latter, but you
would think that maybe, just maybe we would do a grammar check ourselves to
make sure that none of what I just mentioned happens to us instead of just
relying on computers.
